For quite some time now, our teams at Janison have been building and providing online assessments for a number of Australian education providers. It's been challenging and rewarding work. The sort of stuff we really enjoy, for a variety of reasons.
One, because delivering online assessments to large numbers of students or to students spread all across Australia with a range of different devices is difficult, it's a serious challenge and we like that sort of thing :)
Another, we think what we do is helping. It's making it easier to measure student performance and its allowing it to be a far less daunting event, compared to a paper based test.
This month, we take the whole idea to the next level, with a new contract to work with the Singapore Examination Board and our Singaporean partners, S & I and aZaaS, to start to deliver online matriculation exams.
This new project is a ground breaking one. Singapore will be one of the first countries to begin to transform their final year examinations from paper based events to online events. It's a great step forward.
Over the coming months Janison and its partners will be implementing and customising our online assessment system to be ready for the first examinations to be conducted online in May next year.
There is lots to do, and there is a very clear goal to achieve. In May and November next year, the first group of students will be undertaking some of their final examinations online.
We will keep you posted on the project's progress and its outcomes.
