Each award Janison has won this year is special and different in its own way.
Janison was proud to be awarded the title of Telstra Best Australian Regional Business last month in Melbourne. We were one of only 6 National winners from over 6000 businesses around Australia that entered the awards this year. The award confirms that it is possible to build a great business where ever you may be, if you have the right elements. Being based in a region doesn’t mean you are isolated in any way, in fact both our staff and clients are pleased that we have chosen Coffs Harbour to create Janison.
As part of the process, we were lucky to meet a wide range of exemplary businesses from around Australia, and felt very humble to be surrounded by so many interesting stories. One of the highlights of the Telstra awards was having the opportunity to listen to John Anderson who started Contiki tours. His inspiring talk had us all wiping away the tears and we were most grateful for his generous gesture of a signed book for every one of the companies shortlisted at the national level. We are looking forward to reading his book ‘Only 2 Seats Left’ , if it’s anything like the man himself it should be excellent.
John talked about Contiki and the things that made it successful and it was heartening to sit there and mentally tick them off in our heads as he spoke. It seems like the recipe for success is universal, passion, vision, commitment and presenting your team with challenges.
Each award presents challenges and our challenge is to continue, with the support of our great team and clients, to build our business from our base in Coffs Harbour.
Congratulations to all the winners of this event! Your set of speakers are very interesting as well. It is very inspiring to hear from these business extraordinaire and their stories of success.
