Each year Microsoft partners get together to connect, collaborate and learn about technologies and strategies for the coming year. This year the conference is in Los Angeles.
It's a great opportunity to meet with peers, discuss ideas and see some of the amazing work being performed around the globe.
One activity during the conference is the acknowlegement of partners who have made significant contributions through the year past via the annual partner of the year awards.
So I'm very proud to announce that this year Janison was chosen as a finalist in the Public Sector, Education category.
We are very proud of this achievement, it's great acknowledgement for the hard work of all of our staff, not just last year, but for many years, creating great learning solutions, hosting and supporting them.
Furthermore, it is a wonderful testament to the fact that our industry and our world is changing rapidly. The ability for small regional companies like ours, to exist, compete and be acknowledged on the global stage, highlights the fact that emerging technologies and communcation strategies like the National Broadband Rollout in Australia and the growing use of cloud server platforms such as Windows Azure are transforming and enabling innovative businesses like never before.
I really believe there are incredible opportunities ahead, not just for Janison, but for many companies ready to innovate and engage using the tools now available to us.
The next few years could be some of the most transforming and exciting our industry will ever experience. I'm certainly looking forward to them.
